Fatih Aydogdu (TR/AT)


Fatih Aydogdu studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul and graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Aydoğdu is a conceptual visual artist, designer, curator and sound artist, focusing on concepts of media aesthetics, migration & politics of identity and linguistic issues.

Aydogdu took part in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, Asia and USA, as an artist and curator, including: When Home Won't Let You Stay (Die Angewandte, Vienna, 2016), Learned Helplessness: On Authority, Obedience, & Control, (Muse Istanbul, 2014), Commons Tense (Electriciteitsfabriek, Den Haag, NL, 2012), Grenzpegel | Pressure Level – Creativity and Controversies of Migrant Music Scenes (Vienna, Austria, 2009-2010), Boundary Signal (Open Space – Zentrum für Kunstprojekte, Vienna, 2009), The Bone of the Tongue (MedienTurm, Diagonale Graz, Austria, 2005).

Aydogdu is a member of the Curatorial Board of ‘Amber Platform’ and has been working for amberFestival [festival for art & technology] in Istanbul since 2012. He published the first Turkish Media-Art & Theory Magazine ‘h@t’ in 1998.

Aydogdu lives and works in Vienna and Istanbul.
